What to say when a Care Manager isn't helping

Use when your Care Manager is unresponsive or unhelpful.

Hi [Care Manager],

Following up on my [date] request regarding [issue]. I have not received a response in [X days].

Please respond in writing today with:
1. The current status
2. The next step
3. The date it will be completed

If you cannot respond by [date], please escalate this to your supervisor and copy me. Their contact info is also welcome.

Tips

• If still no response in 48 hours, email the CCO supervisor.
• Document every contact attempt.
• You can switch Care Managers — or switch CCOs entirely.
