EISEP — Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly
Non-Medicaid program for adults 60+ who need help with bathing, dressing, meals, housekeeping. Sliding-fee scale based on income.
- •Apply through your county Area Agency on Aging (AAA).
- •Often the right starting point before pursuing MLTC.
NHTD Waiver
Nursing Home Transition & Diversion. Lets older adults and adults with physical disabilities live at home with services instead of in an institution.
- •Requires nursing-home level of care and Medicaid eligibility.
- •Apply through your Regional Resource Development Center (RRDC).

- •National Family Caregiver Support Program — funds respite, training, counseling through AAAs.
- •Lifespan Respite Care Program — sub-grants through NYS Caregiving & Respite Coalition.
