Who qualifies
Families in crisis with an OPWDD-eligible loved one, or aging caregivers via NYSOFA.
How to access
- Call your OPWDD Care Manager and use the word 'crisis'.
- Call your county DD office's emergency line.
- Contact NYS Caregiving & Respite Coalition for non-OPWDD pathways.
Typical wait
Same day to 5 days, depending on county capacity.
